COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMOX) – The young daughter of Mizzou assistant basketball coach Brad Loos has had a re-occurance of brain cancer.
You may remember last February the Tigers held a “Rally for Rhyan” fundraiser at their home game with Tennessee and received more than $50,000 in donations for pediatric cancer research.
In a November 24 posting on the Rally For Rhyan Facebook page, Brad Loos posted, “We are hurting, scared, anxious, sad, mad… every emotion you can think of. But we still have our faith and trust in God. We’ve put it in his hands from day 1 and it’s still there.”
The outpouring of love is being felt across the state of Missouri.
KMOX sports host Mike Kelly is a friend of Coach Loos and daughter Rhyan, “You just pray and hope for the best. i know the one thing the Loos family has asked for is for everybody to keep a good thought and prayer for Rhyan.”
Kelly says the family flew to a New York City hospital on Friday night to prepare for surgery on Rhyan’s neuroblastoma.
